Sustainability.
At Far The Label we are consciously trying to make choices that support an eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle.
We aim for all our fabrics and materials to be biodegradable and come from sustainable sources, we do not want to be another brand that contributes to landfill.
We hope our collections will be treasured. The earthy, muted colour palettes we use contribute to our handmade pieces being timeless and lasting beyond the season. By making gender neutral products we believe these are more practical because they can be worn by both sexes and passed down from generation to generation.

Merino Wool.
Our Merino wool is sourced from a dedicated British wool company, who purchase their products from approved South American and South African farms. The welfare of the sheep is something they (and we) take very seriously. We are extremely proud about the fact that the wool comes from non-mulesed flocks. The farms are environmentally and socially conscious and have put in place numerous recycling measures for their water, as well as by-products from fleece processing such as wool grease (lanolin). They have done a lot of work to ensure that their staff work in the correct conditions and that their families are supported; to do this they sponsor schools, sports and activities as well as local events.

Biodegradable Packaging.
We currently use packaging that is biodegradable and are consciously trying to be less wasteful by using unique methods and materials including thank you cards made from seeded paper. Planting our thank you cards in your garden is a fun activity for you and your children to do together as well as having the pleasure of watching the flowers grow over the coming weeks.

Botanically Dyed.
Botanically hand dying some of our fabrics is an alternative process which reduces toxic affluents and environmental pollution as well as supports the slow fashion industry. We use food waste such as avocado skins and stones to produce the most incredible and unique blush pink tones. This is a lengthy process however, one we think is very fulfilling and worthwhile as the results are simply beautiful.
